Rebekah Brown is an integrated advertising and marketing specialist and the author of sports-related novels.

Brown was Director of Account Services with Urban Sports & Entertainment Group and generated new business through the sale of sports events and media to Fortune 500 companies. Clients included Advance Auto Parts, Alltel, American Cancer Society, Bank of America, Best Buy, Budweiser, Honda, McDonald’s, MillerCoors and the Navy.

Prior, Brown was Senior Account Executive with Caponigro Public Relations driving agency new business and media relations. Clients included Rieter Automotive, the University of Michigan Aphasia Program, Mindworks Learning Center, and the Oakland Community College Combined Regional Emergency Services Training Program.

Brown was Events and Proposals Manager, Agency Proofreader, and Senior Copy Writer for GlobalHue. She created TV, radio, print, outdoor, direct mail, PR and advertising campaigns. Brown also planned, managed and executed events and promotions. Clients included Ameritech, Carson Beauty Products, The Chrysler Group, Corona, Domino’s Pizza, General Mills, Kmart, Michigan Lottery, Miller Brewing, Navy, Verizon Wireless, Western Union.

Brown was a Sports Reporter, Boxing Columnist, Layout and Copy Editor for The Detroit News. She was Sports Editor of The Michigan Chronicle. Brown was the Purdue University Beat Reporter for The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette. She was a Sports Reporter for The Kansas City Star & Times and was a Sports Reporter for The Wisconsin State Journal.

Brown earned a B.A. in journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the Charlotte Writer’s Club, the Charlotte Friends of the Opera and a Board Member of Hollow Creek Farm Equine & Canine Rescue.
